It is a well know fact very few children keep their rooms tidy. to a child a drawer unit is  pretty much very boring and their is little incentive for them to keep their rooms tidy, but if the drawers match the furniture and match the theme of the room. You can encourage your child to have that special space for storing his or her items. If you allocate one of the drawers for special memorabilia that they have collected then this becomes a very personal space for your child and the other drawers for normal  clothing items you should hopefully encourage your child to use the drawers and not the floor for their storage!
